The Product

Based around an Altera Cyclone-III FPGA, MotionFire is a versatile development kit for advanced motor control. It offers a low cost solution with low power operation and extreme performance with true hardware accelerated regulators for position, speed and current. Its design enables direct drive, fool proof logic interlocking, and galvanic protection on each channel. In addition to supporting nearly all motor topologies, real time industrial communication interfaces such as CAN, RS485, Real time Ethernet etc are all supported. Download Product Flyer

FireFighter base kit

This is the starter-kit, it contains all you need to get started driving one motor.

  • 1 x FireFighter baseboard
  • 1 x FireDriver power module
  • 1 x Motor, Maxon EC-MAX30 40W with Avago encoder
  • 1 x USB-Blaster
  • 1 x USB-Serial converter for configuration access from laptops
